The variety is a specialized rootstock with a functionally male flower type, therefore it does not produce fruit. Bushes of grafted varieties demonstrate low to moderate growth vigor, while the rootstock influences the parameters of potassium accumulation, acidity, and pH in the berry juice.
The plant is adapted to deep hard calcareous soils and possesses a high degree of drought tolerance; however, its resistance to chlorosis is rated as low to medium, and magnesium uptake is difficult. The variety also possesses resistance to certain types of nematodes.
The tip of the young shoot is closed, leaves are small or medium, dark green, heart-shaped with an elongated central lobe. Mature shoots are brown without pubescence, the upper leaf surface is smooth and shiny, and the petiole sinus is open and lyre-shaped.
