The variety was bred by Albert Seibel by crossing the Aramon du Gard variety and another hybrid of Seibel's selection. The plant is characterized by hardiness, regular yields above average, and good resistance to many grape diseases.

The berries acquire a grayish-pink hue upon ripening; the clusters have a winged shape. The variety is used for the production of white wines that possess a pronounced floral aroma. Currently, the variety is mentioned more often as a component of the genetic lineage of other hybrid varieties than as a mass-produced crop.
