Variety description

The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing Seibel 867 and Seibel 2524. The leaf is wedge-shaped, five-lobed, slightly dissected, and without pubescence. Clusters are medium, cylindro-conical, and of medium density. Berries are small, round, black with a thick waxy bloom; the pulp is fleshy and juicy, and the skin is of medium thickness.

The plant possesses high resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold, as well as high frost hardiness, which allows for cultivation without winter protection. The yield of the variety is high. Berries can be difficult to press.

Used as a wine grape variety for the production of dark red wines with moderate tannins, medium acidity, and berry flavor profiles. The variety has been used as a parent form in the breeding of other hybrids.
