The variety is intended exclusively for use as a rootstock for grafting grapevines. Its development aimed to improve the rooting capacity of cuttings in nurseries while maintaining the positive traits of the original 41-B variety.

The plant possesses good adaptation to various soil types, including heavy soils. Unlike table and wine varieties, this rootstock does not have berry ripeness characteristics or taste qualities, as it is not intended for fruit production.
