Variety description

The variety was obtained by crossing Couderc 1203 and Vitis riparia cv. Gloire de Montpellier. The bushes possess high vigor, the root system is well-branched, predominantly spreading. Vine maturation by the end of the growing season is 70–80%.

The rootstock exhibits high resistance to fungal diseases and drought, growing well on acidic, stony, and sandy soils. It does not tolerate excess active lime in the soil exceeding 6%. Resistance to leaf and root phylloxera is medium, to nematodes — low.

The variety is characterized by good graft compatibility with scions during bench grafting and a high capacity for rooting from cuttings. It ensures a high yield of quality rootstock vines in nursery plantations.
