Araklinos N belongs to the mid-season ripening varieties and belongs to the proles pontica eco-geographical group. Plants of this group are characterized by juicy berries of small or medium size, as well as medium or high density of pubescence on the shoot tips and the underside of the leaves.
The variety is considered sensitive to drought. It was historically cultivated in the western part of the Peloponnese and on the island of Kefalonia, however, in recent years its industrial plantings are rare. Synonyms for the variety are Araclinos, Araklino, and Raklino.
