The Arcaș variety was obtained by the method of intraspecific sexual hybridization of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Băbească Neagră varieties. The grape belongs to technical varieties used for the production of red wines, which possess potential for both early consumption and aging.
The wine's flavor profile combines red fruit aromas with herbaceous notes. The variety has good adaptability to soil and climatic conditions, demonstrating yield stability even in dry years. The average mass of 100 berries is about 180 g, the leaf shape is defined as truncated-conical.
