The variety Bastardo blanco (also known as Bastardo Branco or Baboso Blanco) is an independent white grape variety. There is data indicating that it may be a white-berried mutation of the red variety Trousseau (Merenzao). It should be distinguished from the red variety Bastardo and the variety Bastardo Magarachsky.
The plant leaf is pentagonal or rounded, seven-lobed, with open lateral sinuses. The cluster is conical, dense. The berries are of uniform size, spherical in shape, and greenish-pink in color. The pulp is colorless, juicy, soft, and without a pronounced specific aroma. The variety belongs to the mid-season maturity group.
