The variety is a result of breeding, features vigorous vines with a semi-erect habit. Buds break early, berry ripening occurs in the second late period. Bunches are medium, conical, compact, sometimes with small wings.
Berries are medium-sized, spherical in shape, have blue-black skin with bloom and soft juicy pulp with a neutral flavor. The variety is sensitive to downy mildew, powdery mildew, esca and water stress, may suffer from flower drop, but possesses relative resistance to grey mold.
Wines from this grape are characterized by good structure and distinct floral-fruity notes, such as rose and violet. In certain seasons, the finished product may show a deficit in acidity or low alcohol content.
