The variety is characterized by high vigor and high fertility, adapting well to various types of pruning. The leaf is medium-sized, wedge-shaped or rounded, three- or five-lobed. The bunch is small, cylindrical or conical in shape, and loose. The berries are ovoid, black, with very thick skin.
The variety is susceptible to powdery mildew and downy mildew, which limits its distribution. It is used primarily as a component in blends for wines with pronounced acidity, fruity and spicy notes, as well as saturated color. The variety is suitable for late harvesting.
