The variety has a multipurpose use, being consumed both fresh and in winemaking, where it is most often used in blends, in particular, for the creation of retsina. Wines produced from it are light-colored, light-bodied, with low levels of acidity and alcohol content, which makes them unsuitable for long aging.
The vines possess high vigor and yield. The bunches of the variety are large and dense, consisting of large berries. The variety exhibits good resistance to heat and drought, but is characterized by high susceptibility to fungal diseases, including downy mildew and various types of rot. Due to the density of the bunches, the variety is often damaged by birds and insects.
