The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing the Emperor variety and a complex of forms (Alphonse Lavallee x Pirovano 75) x Koenigin der Weingaerten. The plant has bisexual flowers and is distinguished by high vine vigor.

The berries have an oval shape and a red, pinkish hue. The flesh is fleshy, the skin is thin and crisp, and the taste is sweet with a slight acidity. The clusters of the variety are characterized by density, symmetry, and a conical shape.

The variety is classified as a table grape and is intended for fresh consumption. During cultivation, sensitivity to a number of diseases, including Pierce's disease, was noted. In official documentation, it may appear under the synonym Davis 31-37 F.
