Variety description

The variety belongs to the black category, although the wines produced from it have a light ruby-red color. The bushes have medium or high vigor, and shoots mature well. Leaves are medium-sized, 3-5-lobed with slight pubescence. Bunches are large, cylindroconical, often winged and loose. Berries are large, round or oval, blue-black with thin skin.

The variety is of medium or late ripening period, requiring a long growing season and warm sites for ripening. It possesses low frost resistance and high susceptibility to powdery mildew, downy mildew, and gray mold. Wines from this grape are characterized by low tannin content, fresh acidity, and fruity notes.
