The variety is the result of a natural crossing of Blaue Zimmettraube and Grüner Sylvaner. The plant is characterized by weak to moderate shoot vigor and high productivity, reaching 160–200 hectoliters per hectare.

The variety is sensitive to frost and prone to flower abortion. Wines produced from these grapes are characterized by a moderate to low alcohol and tannin content, as well as a fresh fruity aroma with notes of raspberry and red berries.
