The vines have above-average vigor. The leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed, with an overlapping petiolar sinus. The bunches are medium-sized, cylindrical-conical, and of moderate density. The berries are round, blue-black in color, covered with a thick bloom, and have tough skins.

The variety is characterized by medium to high yields. It possesses medium winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures as low as –23°C. It is moderately resistant to gray mold, while being susceptible to downy mildew and powdery mildew.

Wines from this variety are distinguished by a deep dark red color, fruity notes, velvety tannins, and full body. Due to its intense pigmentation, the wine is often used as a colorant in blends.
