Variety description

The variety is a natural hybrid of the Bombino bianco and Quagliano varieties. The vines have high yield and perfect flowers. The leaves are round, five-lobed, slightly incised, with an open lyre-shaped petiole sinus. The bunches are medium to small, conical, and dense. The berries are small, dark blue with a waxy bloom and thin skin.

The variety does not possess high resistance to frost and fungal diseases, and is susceptible to attacks by the European grapevine moth (Lobesia botrana). A distinctive feature is the uneven ripening of berries within the bunch, which contributes to the preservation of high acidity. Wines produced from this variety are characterized by freshness, softness, and fruit notes.
