Variety description

10 August 2026

The Argentine variety (Douce Noir) is a high-yielding variety with a late ripening period. The bushes are undemanding and adapt well to warm climatic conditions and various soils. The berries are medium-sized, dark blue, with thick skin, used for the production of wines with moderate tannins and berry notes.

The Italian variety Bonarda Piemontese has medium vigor. The leaves are five-lobed with dense pubescence on the underside, and the flowers are bisexual. The bunches are medium-sized, conical, and dense. The berries are black and medium. The variety ripens in the second ten-day period of September, is characterized by low yield and sensitivity to downy mildew.
