The Calitor N variety, also known as Calitor, Calitor Noir or Pécoui Touar, is an ancient variety of traditional selection with a characteristic curved bunch stalk. It has two color mutations: the white Calitor Blanc and the grey Calitor Gris.
The plant has moderate vigor and high yield, preferring hot and dry soils. The variety shows resistance to downy mildew, while being susceptible to powdery mildew and grey mold.
A wine grape variety traditionally used in blends to add lightness to wines. The letter "N" in the official name indicates the black color of the berry skin.
