Variety description

The variety was obtained in 1993 by crossing Calardis Musqué and Seyve Villard 39-639. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and vertical shoot orientation, which simplifies trellis work. Bud burst and harvest timing correspond to the Riesling variety.

The grapes possess high resistance to downy mildew, medium to high resistance to powdery mildew and black rot, as well as resistance to sunburn. Due to the loose structure of the medium-sized clusters, the variety is less susceptible to grey mold.

Wine grape variety intended for the production of still and sparkling wines. The berries are similar in size to the Riesling variety. The resulting wines are characterized by pronounced acidity and aromas of passion fruit, blood orange, and fresh apple.
