Pelaverga Grosso is a mid-late variety with high vigor and good adaptability. Due to late bud burst, the variety is resistant to spring frosts while demonstrating high and stable productivity.

The clusters of the variety are medium-large, compact, and have a conical or elongated-pyramidal shape. The berries are medium-small, ellipsoid or round in shape, covered with bloom, and have a purple-tinted skin. The wines produced from this variety are less aromatic than those from Pelaverga Piccolo.
