The Cardinal variety is an early-ripening table grape with a ripening period of 110–120 days. The vines are vigorous, forming conical loose or moderately loose bunches weighing 350–500 g. The berries are large, round-oval in shape, red-violet in color with a smoky waxy bloom and a characteristic groove at the apex.
The berry flesh is firm and crunchy, possessing a harmonious taste with a light muscat aroma. The variety is characterized by low resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold, as well as reduced winter hardiness down to -15...-18°C. It is suitable for fresh consumption and has good transportability.
