The variety originated from the natural cross-pollination of wild vines. The leaf is medium-sized, pentagonal, five-lobed and round, with an open U-shaped petiolar sinus. The bunch is medium-sized, conical in shape, and moderately compact.

The berries are medium to large in size, ellipsoid in shape, with thin dark skin and a neutral flavor. The variety is characterized by high vigor and belongs to the mid-season maturity group. Phenologically, it is characterized by early bud burst and very early flowering.

The wine grape variety is intended for the production of wines with pronounced acidity and fruity notes. It is included in the specifications of several Italian DOC and IGT categories, such as Terre dei Forti, Vallagarina, and Vigneti delle Dolomiti.
