The variety is an Italian autochthon, historically developed in the Friuli region. The designation B. in the name indicates the white-berry type of grape.
Cividin B. belongs to wine grape varieties. In scientific literature, it is also known by the synonym Cividino. The variety is authorized for use in winemaking for the production of DOP and IGP category wines in Italy.
