Variety description

The variety is characterized by medium to large clusters and medium-sized berries, the skin of which has a pale green hue. The plant features vigorous growth and is best suited for cultivation in warm regions on poor soils. The productivity of the variety is often higher than that of the original Clairette blanche; there is a single certified clone No. 1003.
It belongs to late-ripening varieties, maturing 4–4.5 weeks after the Chasselas variety. The variety is sensitive to powdery mildew; its resistance to diseases and pests is identical to the Clairette blanche variety.
It is a wine variety used for the production of wines, blends, as well as a table grape and for the production of grape brandy. The wines are characterized by freshness and pronounced acidity.
