The variety has medium-vigor vines and large five-lobed leaves with pubescence on the underside. The name "fox tail" is due to the shape of the bunch: it is long, cylindrical, with short wings, and is dense or medium-dense. The berries are small or medium in size, elongated in shape, and greenish-yellow in color with a thick skin.

The yield of the variety is medium to above average. It is characterized by medium resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, but shows susceptibility to grey mold. Genetic studies have confirmed that this variety is independent and does not belong to Pallagrello bianco or Caprettone.

The grapes are intended exclusively for winemaking. It is used both for single-varietal wines and for blends, giving them balanced acidity and aromas of white fruits, citrus, and tropical notes.
