The variety is indigenous to Southern Italy. The vines are of medium vigor, adapt well to various soil types, but show sensitivity to Botrytis cinerea. The grape harvest takes place in the second half of September.
The bunches are large, cone-shaped; berries are small or medium-sized, oblong, have thick skin and a whitish-gray color. The variety is intended for winemaking, used both independently and in blends to create aromatic wines with notes of fruit and mineral undertones.
