The variety is native to southwestern France and belongs to the technical (wine) category. The plant has strong growth vigor; the name originates from the shape of the bunches. Leaves are round, slightly or moderately lobed. Bunches are small, dense, conical or cylindrical-conical in shape, often with wings.

Berries are white, very small, round, covered with a waxy bloom, and have a characteristic black dot at the apex. Maturity group is medium. The variety is susceptible to downy mildew, powdery mildew, grey mold, and is sensitive to wind. It is used in blends to create wines with a harmonious taste and lemon notes.
