The variety has high-vigor vines with semi-erect or horizontal shoots. Leaves are pentagonal, five-lobed, deeply dissected, with slight tomentose pubescence on the underside. Bunches are medium-sized, cylindro-conical, of medium density. Berries are round, dark blue, with a waxy bloom and fleshy-juicy pulp.
The variety is distinguished by high and stable yields, as well as increased resistance to fungal diseases, including powdery mildew and downy mildew. Short pruning is recommended for cultivation, while the variety is sensitive to drought.
Wines from Gamaret possess an intense dark ruby color and expressive tannins. The bouquet is dominated by notes of blackberry and sweet spices. The wine is used both in blends and as a varietal drink, suitable for barrel aging.
