The variety is a natural hybrid known since the 14th century. Bushes are characterized by medium vigor and upright shoots. Leaves are medium-sized, round, and moderately lobed. Clusters are small, dense, cylindrical-conical in shape, often with wings.
Berries are medium-sized, round, dark blue in color with a waxy bloom. The skin is thin, the pulp is juicy and colorless. The variety has a high yield of 80 to 130 c/ha and a mid-season maturity, requiring a sum of active temperatures of 3020°C.
The grape is relatively resistant to downy mildew and powdery mildew, but has low resistance to gray mold, phylloxera, phomopsis, and wood diseases. Due to early bud break, it is sensitive to spring frosts. Good vine maturation is noted.
