Variety description

The variety has high productivity and is well adapted to cultivation in hot, dry, and poor soils, while requiring short pruning. In terms of ripening, it belongs to the early varieties: bud break occurs 7 days after the Chasselas variety, and berry ripening occurs 3.5 weeks after it.

The plant has large clusters and slightly elliptical berries. The leaves are rounded, dark green, five- or seven-lobed with moderate pubescence on the underside. The variety is susceptible to powdery mildew, as well as grey rot and sour rot.

The grapes are used to create quality white wines, which are characterized by a light color, aromas of pear, lemon balm, grapefruit, and floral notes. The taste qualities of the wines are usually balanced, although a lack of acidity is sometimes observed.
