Gascon N, also known as Le Gascon noir, is an old French variety. Historically, it was distributed in the Yonne department, however, Orleans is considered the presumed place of origin.
The variety belongs to wine grape varieties. The letter N in the name indicates the blue-black color of the berries. At the moment, the variety is included in the official French catalog of grape varieties, but it is considered practically extinct.
