Karnachalades N is a local grape variety originating from Greece. Due to the deep color of the berry skin, the variety was historically called "Bogia" or "Bogialamas," which is associated with the staining properties of the skin. The letter "N" in the name indicates the dark, black color of the berries.
The variety belongs to wine-making cultivars and is used for wine production. Scientific research on the variety focuses on molecular identification, the study of its chemical composition, including the content of anthocyanins and volatile compounds, as well as the evaluation of the quality of the resulting wine.
