The variety belongs to early maturity groups, with a growing season of 110–120 days. Bushes are characterized by medium vigor and require mandatory tying to a support. The bunches have a cylindrical-conical shape, their weight varies from 350 to 800 grams, and the bunch structure is moderately loose.
The berries are very large, round-oval in shape, and covered with a characteristic waxy bloom. The berry pulp is fleshy and juicy, with a harmonious taste and a light muscat tone. During cultivation, a tendency toward uneven berry ripening and cracking in case of excess moisture is noted.
The variety has low resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray rot, which requires systematic chemical protection. The plant's winter hardiness is low; critical temperatures are -15...-18°C. There is a form called «Кардинал устойчивый» (Kardinal ustoichivyi), which is a separate hybrid.
