The variety was bred in Hungary at the experimental station in Cserszegtomaj as part of the research activities of the Georgikon center, now part of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE).

The variety is intended for white wine production and is included in the national variety register of Hungary. Detailed agrobiological characteristics, such as ripening time, yield parameters, or disease resistance profiles, are not available in open sources.
