The variety is autochthonous to Greece and is intended for winemaking. The letter B in the name indicates the white color of the berries.
Genetic identification of the variety was carried out using microsatellite markers. Studies have confirmed that the variety does not belong to the Muscat group. Detailed agrotechnical characteristics, such as ripening time, yield, or disease resistance, are absent in open publications.
