The variety is an old autochthon of the Moslavina region and northwestern Croatia. It is used primarily as an aromatic additive to other local wines to impart specific characteristics, rarely being used as a single-varietal.

The plant is medium-vigor and late-ripening. It is characterized by a susceptibility to rot, which requires the selection of sites with good air circulation. The variety is included in the category of endangered species.

Wine from this grape has a pronounced muscat aroma, a lively taste, and high acidity. When grown on sunny slopes and with yield control, it is capable of producing high-quality products.
