The variety is a wine grape originating from the Languedoc region, France. Bushes are characterized by medium vigor. Leaves are medium to large in size, round, moderately lobed, three-lobed, with bronze spots potentially present on young plants.
Clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical-conical in shape, often winged, and dense. Berries are medium, ranging from oval to ellipsoidal in shape, and colored dark blue, almost black. The skin is thick, and the pulp is juicy.
The variety has high yields but is prone to unstable fruiting. Agrotechnics require the use of short pruning. The plant is susceptible to powdery mildew and gray mold.
