Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has a long ripening period; harvesting is often carried out in late October or November. The main biological feature is "floral abortion"—the male parts of the flower are often sterile, which leads to the formation of very loose bunches with a small number of berries.

The plant is demanding in terms of growing conditions, preferring calcareous marl and sandstone on hilly terrain. The berries accumulate high levels of sugar and aromatic substances.

The variety is used exclusively in winemaking for the production of sweet dessert wines using the late harvest method. It should be distinguished from the Piculit Neri variety.
