The German variety Phoenix is a white-berried PIWI wine grape variety obtained by crossing Bacchus and Villard Blanc. The vine is vigorous with upright shoot growth. Clusters are cylindro-conical weighing 180–300 g, berries are round, white-yellow in color, weighing 2–3 g. The variety is of early-mid maturity, resistant to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and frosts down to -25°C, and is used for the production of wines and juices.
The Bulgarian variety "Kishmish Phoenix" (V-39-24) is a table seedless variety. It is characterized by vigorous growth, very large clusters weighing more than 1 kg, and blue-violet berries. The maturity group of the variety is medium.
