The variety consists of medium-vigor vines with hermaphroditic flowers. The leaves are medium to large in size, round in shape, three- or five-lobed, bright green in color with pubescence on the underside. The clusters are medium, cylindrical-conical, often winged, and dense or very dense. The berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, and dark pink or black in color.
The variety has a good ability for shoot maturation, but yield is often unstable. The plant is susceptible to fungal diseases, including downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray mold. Historically, the variety is grown in France, Spain, and Portugal, while its exact origin remains unknown.
