The variety is a backcross form of Pinot noir. The plant is characterized by a hermaphroditic flower type and a dark skin color of the berries. The variety belongs to the disease-resistant category, demonstrating high resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew.

The purpose of the variety is winemaking. The resulting wine is characterized as light, with a ruby-red hue, similar in profile to Kadarka or Pinot noir. The variety is suitable for producing red, rosé, white, and sparkling wines, as well as champagne, and is suitable for use in blends.
