Variety description

The variety belongs to the PIWI group, which provides it with high resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold. Genetically, it is a hybrid of Cabernet Sauvignon and Regent with approximately 90% Vitis vinifera genes.

The vines have medium to above-medium vigor. The bunches weigh 150–200 g and are cylindrical-conical and loose, which reduces the risk of rot. The berries are medium-sized, dark blue in color, with tough skin and fleshy, juicy pulp.

The variety matures in mid-to-late September and is distinguished by relatively late bud burst, which reduces the risk of damage from late spring frosts. Frost hardiness is down to –24 °C.
