Pirene is an autochthonous red wine grape variety. It is a late-ripening plant that exhibits high resistance to drought and elevated temperatures. The variety shows the best results when grown in high-altitude conditions on calcareous soils.
Wines produced from this variety possess an intense color, soft tannins, and balanced acidity. The aromatic profile of the beverage includes notes of wild berries, including blueberry, as well as violet, spicy, and mineral nuances.
