Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was obtained by complex crossing of genetic material from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis labrusca, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris, and Vitis vinifera species. The flower is hermaphroditic. The leaf is rounded, five-lobed, slightly dissected, with sparse pubescence on the underside; the petiole sinus is closed with an elliptical opening.

Clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical, elongated. Berries are small, round, dark blue, almost black in color, covered with a thick bloom. The variety possesses resistance to oidium and grey mold, while slight susceptibility to bunch stem necrosis and flower drop is noted.

The pulp and juice of the berries are intensely colored dark violet, which allows the grape to be used as a teinturier. The primary purpose is the production of red wines with deep color and structure, as well as use in blends.
