The variety is indigenous to the Moldova region and is grown primarily in Vrancea County. It is a late-maturing variety with harvest occurring in early October. The bunches are large, cylindrical, with very tightly packed berries that may deform upon ripening.

The berries are greenish-yellow in color and may develop rusty spots on the sunny side. The sugar content is 180–200 g/l with a must acidity of 5–5.5 g/l. Wines produced from this variety are light and delicate, with characteristic mineral notes.

The variety is sensitive to fungal diseases, particularly excoriose, which can lead to significant crop losses. It is currently considered rare and is preserved in the Odobești area, where it is used both for varietal wines and in blends.
