Medium to medium-late ripening variety with a growing season ending in September-October. The plant is well adapted to arid conditions and stony soils, and possesses a deep root system. Bunches are small or medium, conical in shape, often dense; berries are small, dark blue, with thick skin and a thick waxy bloom.
The variety is characterized by stable yields, while being prone to uneven berry ripening within the bunch. Primary use is for wine: the raw material is used for producing red wines with aromas of blackberry, cherry, spices, tobacco, and mineral notes, as well as for the production of Prošek dessert wine.
