Variety description

The variety is a rootstock grape with a male flower type, not intended for berry production. The bushes are characterized by vigorous growth and a spreading shape with upright shoots prone to active lateral shoot formation. The leaves are small, entire, kidney-shaped, dark green with a wide petiolar sinus.

The plant possesses high resistance to root-form phylloxera, downy mildew, and powdery mildew, but is susceptible to grey mold, anthracnose, nematodes, and a number of viruses. The variety prefers light, deep, gravelly soils and does not tolerate waterlogging or dense soils well. Due to its developed root system, it possesses good drought tolerance.

When used as a rootstock, the variety provides high growth vigor for the scion, but requires control due to a tendency to delay cane maturation in grafted varieties. In young bushes, excessive growth vigor can lead to flower drop.
