Variety description

The variety is mid-early to mid-late, harvest begins in the first half of October. Vines have weak to moderate vigor, leaves are rounded, three- or five-lobed. Small or medium dense clusters resemble pine cones in shape; berries are small, rounded, dark blue with juicy pulp.

The variety is demanding regarding growing conditions, prefers warm, sunny sites with calcareous soils. Susceptible to downy mildew and powdery mildew, has moderate frost resistance, and is prone to chlorosis on heavy, wet soils. With proper agricultural practices, the variety accumulates a high sugar level, allowing for the production of top-category wines.
