The Rukatac variety, also known as Maraština, is genetically identical to the Mediterranean varieties Malvasia Bianca Lunga and Pavlos. It is a wine grape variety used both for creating single-varietal wines and for blends.

The plant is characterized by consistently high yields and the ability to accumulate a large amount of sugar with sufficient sunlight exposure. The variety belongs to late maturity groups and requires careful agrotechnical management due to susceptibility to downy mildew.

Wines produced from this grape are distinguished by a full-bodied structure and a golden-yellow color. The aromatic profile includes notes of peach, apricot, quince, and vanilla, as well as a moderate level of acidity.
