The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera and is a product of the natural crossing of the Vernaccia di Oristano and Pensicato varieties. The plant is characterized by small bunches and medium-sized berries with thick yellow-green skin.

Wines from this variety are distinguished by medium body, moderate acidity, and a sweet taste with notes of honey, dried citrus, and roasted nuts. The variety is often used in blends with local varieties such as Melara, Berdevino, Ortrugo, and Trebbiano.
